Story of Solaris

Dr (LT Col) Manish Kumar
Co-Founder of Solaris Cancer Center
A story of two doctors… One Oncologist and the other a Public health specialist. It began, as most revolutions do, with quiet heartbreak.
In the sterile stillness of hospital corridors, where machines hummed and monitors blinked, a doctor watched countless patients and families struggle — not only against cancer, but against fear, distance, and indifference.
He saw patients, waiting hours for treatment and caregivers breaking under invisible weight. Most importantly the human warmth that heals hearts as much as it treats disease was often lost.
There was brilliance in science, but not always solace in care.
And he asked himself —
Should healing feel so heavy?
Can cancer care be made more personal, more humane, and more hopeful — without compromise?

Dr Sneha Soni
CEO & Co-Founder of Solaris Cancer Center
As a public health specialist, she knew that healing a person is only the first step — healing a community is the real victory.
She saw the silent barriers patients face — stigma, late detection, financial strain and fear of hospitals. She saw how awareness could save lives long before medicine could. And she made a vow:
Let’s not just treat cancer — Let’s fight its roots.
She imagined oncology not just a science — But a movement of light.
That realization of these two doctors in their own space, gave birth to “Solaris”
Named after the sun, the eternal symbol of light, renewal, and life.
Just as the sun rises every day to disperse darkness, Solaris was envisioned to illuminate the path for every patient walking through the uncertain shadow of cancer.
The mission was — and remains — to bring world-class, protocol-driven oncology to every patient, not just those who can reach large cities or academic hospitals. Solaris stands as a bridge between academic rigor and accessible care blending science, safety, and sincerity.
Here every treatment plan is written not only with medical precision but also with empathy and time. We believe that the true measure of success in oncology isn’t just survival rates alone — it’s also about the quality of every moment lived during and after treatment.
At Solaris, we are living a dream where:
Every patient receives the same level of expertise that global cancer centers offer — close to home.
Daycare oncology becomes not just convenient, but dignified and holistic.
Technology and human touch work hand in hand — from AI-guided treatment planning to compassionate nursing and counselling.
Second opinions, multidisciplinary discussions, and genomic insights empower patients, instead of overwhelming them.
As the sun rises every morning without fail, Solaris will continue to rise — for every patient, every family, every new beginning. Because in our world, light always wins.
